Bryson DeChambeau‘s latest development has nothing to do with a driver, a putter or his next LIV Golf tournament.
The two-time U.S. Open champion has reportedly found himself at the center of a new romance with social-media personality Mikayla Demaiter, adding a major dose of celebrity attention to his already high-profile life.
The relationship was confirmed on Wednesday after weeks of speculation surrounding the pair. Us Weekly reported that DeChambeau and Demaiter are dating, while a source described the couple as being “very happy.” TMZ subsequently confirmed the relationship.
The romance had been attracting attention before either report emerged. Demaiter was spotted at the LIV Golf New York tournament earlier this month with a guest pass, and eagle-eyed fans noticed another significant detail: she was wearing a Crushers GC hat.
That was hardly an ordinary choice. DeChambeau is the captain of Crushers GC, the LIV team he has led since joining the Saudi-backed league in 2022.
The team has become closely associated with his identity on the circuit, making Demaiter’s appearance particularly interesting to fans already watching the pair’s social-media activity.
