Bronny James is arguably one of the most talked-about NBA rookies in recent history, and righfully so.
LeBron James‘ oldest son made history back in October 2024 when he got to play alongside his dad, becoming the first fathers-don duo in the league’s history to play together.
Bronny has shown a lot of improvement since his first game in the NBA, and he’s been a regular starter with the South Bay Lakers from the G League: he’s averaging 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2 steals with 0.3 blocks on 34.2 minutes per game.
Bronny James makes a spectacular layup
Bronny James has the talent and skills to be a regular player with the Los Angeles Lakers, as he has shown consistency and abilities that make him a good player. And a recent warmup move with the California team shows just that.
Bronny was feeling great and he made a spectacular layup that the rest of the Lakers praised. LeBron James was also proud of seeing his son making some great moves mid-air, but his competitive side got the best of him and he decided to show that he also can jump and make some great tricks.
Social media users took note of Bronny’s layup game, as some posted that those were “MJs layups.” “Imagine having freestyle layup lines with your son in the drive way your whole life then actually doing freestyle layups in an NBA layup line. Do y’all not get the picture yet? This is surreal.” posted another user.
The Lakers solidify their playoff spot
The Los Angeles Lakers are currently standing on fourth place of the Western Conference, only behind the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Houston Rockets, and the Denver Nuggets. The team lead by LeBron James has a better record than the Memphis Grizzlies, the Golden State Warriors, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Los Angeles Clippers.
If the Lakers want to make a deep run in the playoffs, they are going to need every single dime of talent from superstar guard Luka Doncic, as well as all the drive from Austin Reaves, a hard working guard who has come up big for Los Angeles this season.
The Lakers got a very important win on the road against the Grizzlies Saturday night 134-127, with Reaves scoring 31 points, Doncic adding 29 and nine assists, and LeBron James scoring 25 points to lead Los Angeles, who needed the victory after losing four of their last five matches.
