The 2025 NBA offseason is in full swing. Just a couple of weeks after the Oklahoma City Thunder won the NBA Finals, free agency got underway and has featured tons of high-profile names entering the market and switching teams. The Los Angeles Lakers are keeping an eye on every development.

With LeBron James needing assurances that the roster will be improved in order to stay in LA, the Lakers front office must make prudent moves. They’ve signed Deandre Ayton and Jake LaRavia, with more signings on the way. While the front office does its job and LeBron trade rumors float around, Bronny James is putting his focus on his craft.

The second-year player has rejoined some of his Lakers teammates for their Summer League run, and he’s already showing signs of improvement. The Lakers posted a video from day one of training camp in which Bronny throws down a dunk that impressed Dalton Knecht.

Bronny James addresses LeBron James trade rumors in diplomatic way

As soon as Bronny got back to practicing with the team for Summer League training camp, he was swarmed with questions about his father’s future with the Lakers. Bronny kept it diplomatic, claiming that “I don’t really pay attention to that stuff“. In fact, he said that LeBron tells him “not to worry about it”.

Clearly, Bronny is focused on other things at the moment. First and foremost, he wants to develop his game and become a more important role player on the Lakers heading into his second season. James played just 181 total minutes in his rookie season, spending more time with the G-League team, where he was able to further his development.
