The Patrick Mahomes family gathered to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 11 and the mother of the Kansas City Chiefs‘ star, Randi Mahomes, poured a loving tribute to Brittany for the job she does with the NFL player’s three kids.
Randi, who is no stranger to the battles of motherhood, graciously expressed her heartfelt appreciation for her daughter-in-law, Brittany Mahomes as she continues to raise Sterling, Bronze and Golden Raye.
With Patrick focusing on his football career to secure the household’s long-term financial future, his 29-year-old wife is often tasked with juggling two toddlers and a newborn largely on her own.
Yet she does so with passion and joy, never appearing frustrated, which is something the 49-year-old Randi, also mother to Jackson Mahomes, seems to admire based on her Sunday social media post.
“The most loving, hands-on and amazing Mama,” Randi Mahomes wrote in a touching Instagram story, accompanied by a photo featuring herself, Brittany, and Patrick’s three young children. “These sweet babies are so blessed to have you.”
Brittany, who married Patrick in 2022 after growing up as high school sweethearts, responded to the tribute with a short message, reposting the story by writing, “Thank you,” with a white heart emoji.
Mahomes seemingly absent from Mother’s Day tributes
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is widely recognized for his elite on-field performance. He’s won three Super Bowls, three Super Bowl MVPs and two NFL MVPs and is considered the finest quarterback of his generation.
But off the field, he’s known for cultivating a tight-knit family environment and can often be spied on social media hanging out with his young kids and making sure he keeps the magic with Brittany blooming.
However, Pat kept his Mother’s Day tributes minimal on social media with no specific post directed at either his wife or his mother, despite him being active online and even tagged by Brittany in a post.
With the NFL offseason underway, Patrick‘s focus has largely remained on training and preparing for another championship run, especially after last season’s close but disappointing end.
In the 2024/25 season, Mahomes guided the Chiefs to their third consecutive Super Bowl appearance, only to fall short against the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s something he seems keen to avenge and seems highly focused on.
Although he produced 3928 yards and 26 touchdowns, he ultimately was left vulnerable to sacks throughout the year and also tossed 11 interceptions – including a pick-six in the Super Bowl back on February 9 as Jalen Hurts stole the show for the Eagles.
All the same, his apparent lack of public tribute hasn’t gone unnoticed from fans and critics alike; although it’s clear those close to him, who know him personally, will not be fazed.
