The Dallas Cowboys left positive impressions during Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles, showing they can compete at a high level, but it’s clear they’ll need full commitment from all players to succeed. They lost their first game but are already focused on the New York Giants, where they hope to secure their first win of the season.

Brian Schottenheimer Emphasizes Consistency

At the start of this week, Head Coach Brian Schottenheimer stressed the need for consistency from his team as they prepare for their second NFC East matchup of the season.

Schottenheimer quickly dismissed those claims when speaking with Clarence Hill Jr. of DLLS on Wednesday. The coach stated he had no issues with Pickens’ effort or route running.

In this same context, some Pittsburgh Steelers fans were quick to judge certain plays by Pickens in his first game with the Cowboys, though criticizing a Week 1 performance seems more like a sign of lingering resentment.

Pickens makes the team’s offense more dynamic. His presence on the field alone creates opportunities for Dak Prescott and his top target, CeeDee Lamb. While the player hasn’t shown complete dedication to the team, the organization expects nothing less.
