Zoe Williams, girlfriend of Miller Gardner, son of Yankees legend Brett Gardner, who died last week while vacationing in Costa Rica, dedicated a heartfelt farewell message to him on TikTok.
The teenager was deeply saddened by the death of her boyfriend and said she was devastated, the New York Post reports.
“I am so devastated and never imagined this could happen. I wish I could have said goodbye, talked to you or even given you one last hug. I love you more than anything and will never get over your loss,” Zoe wrote.
The girl’s text was accompanied by a video of several of the moments they lived together, using the song “Scott Street” by Phoebe Bridgers in the background.
In the images, the couple can be seen wearing matching outfits, wearing sushi-themed pajamas and T-shirts with the phrase “I love my girlfriend/boyfriend“, the media outlet details.
“I am so glad I got to experience love with you, although we were too young for it to last. I will never change the time we shared. You made me feel so special and I will never forget it. I will remember you forever until I die,” Zoe added in her farewell to her boyfriend.
According to the statement released by Brett Gardner and his wife Jessica, Miller Gardner died in his sleep on Friday morning. But more details have recently emerged about the death.

According to the New York Post, the 14-year-old died of suffocation while vacationing with his family in Costa Rica after becoming seriously ill along with several members of his family while staying at an exclusive resort in that country, according to Inside Edition
Costa Rican authorities believe that Miller’s sudden death may have been the result of possible poisoning after apparently ingesting food, NBC News reports.
Authorities in the Central American country are investigating the cause of death and the US State Department is monitoring the investigation.
