Brett Favre slams Wisconsin governor over ‘inseminated persons’ bill

Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre is making his stance clear against Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers‘ latest proposal, which suggests replacing the term “mother” with “inseminated person” in official state documents. Favre’s reaction? A single-word tweet: “Insanity.”

Evers’ bill, intended to modernize the state’s budget and eliminate outdated language, has ignited fierce criticism. While some proposed changes, such as eliminating income tax on tips and improving infrastructure, were seen as reasonable, others, like the gender-neutral terminology, have drawn national attention.

A controversial proposal sparks backlash

The bill suggests replacing words such as “paternity” with “parentage,” “wife” or “husband” with “spouse,” and “father” with “parent.” Critics argue that these changes erase traditional family roles and impose unnecessary political correctness on legal language.

Favre joins growing opposition

Favre is not alone in his criticism. Republican Governors Association executive director Sara Craig called the proposal “offensive to mothers,” emphasizing that motherhood is a unique and irreplaceable role.

“If Tony Evers can reduce motherhood to an ‘inseminated person,’ then our society is lost,” Craig stated.

While Evers‘ supporters argue that inclusive language is necessary for legal and social progress, opponents see it as an example of excessive “woke” ideology interfering with fundamental societal values.

Favre, known for his straightforward opinions, kept his response brief but effective. His single-word reaction resonated with many, amplifying the debate over the role of political correctness in legislation.

As the controversy unfolds, it remains to be seen whether the bill will gain enough support to pass-or if public backlash, led by figures like Favre, will force lawmakers to reconsider.
