The decision by President of the United States Donald Trump to release the remaining files on the assassination of John F. Kennedy has gotten plenty of people talking on social media.
Over 2,200 files and over 63,000 pages on the U.S. National Archives have been added to the over six million pages of records, photos, videos, sound recordings and artifacts after Trump signed an executive order on January 23, and it means those interested have plenty of material to scan over.
One of those interested parties is NFL legend Brett Favre. However, like many, he isn’t ready to sift through hours and hours of documents to find out what happened tot he 35th President of the United States.
“I don’t have enough life to go through 70,000 + JFK files. Anyone know what really happened?” Favre wrote on X.
Given he has over 458,000 followers on the platform, his post received plenty of feedback. At this time his post has racked up over 32 million views, 234,000 likes and 10,000 retweets.
Fans have weighed in on Favre’s question
Plenty of fans have replied to Favre’s question, and there are many who questioned the lone gunman theory.
The supposed lone gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald, was killed just two days after the killing, making the situation even more suspicious.
There are also many suggesting that Kennedy’s death was due to a combination of the military-industrial complex and the CIA. That’s because a few months before his assassination, Kennedy’s American University address conveyed his desire for rapprochement with the Soviet Union, a push for nuclear de-escalation and increased oversight of the CIA.
While plenty of interested fans responded to fans, so far there have been no major bombshells when it comes the release of the new documents. That isn’t a real surprise given there were already over six million pages of information available before.
