Breanna Stewart, the star of the New York Liberty along with MVP Jonquel Jones and the influential Sabrina Ionescu, celebrated the WNBA title with her wife, former Spanish international Marta Xargay.

Breanna Stewart’s wife said that they received homophobic death threats
Just a week ago, in the middle of the WNBA Finals, Marta Xargay reported to the New York police that both she and Breanna Stewart received death threats in a homophobic e-mail.
“I hope someone shoots your wife dead, f*** you f***ers, I hope you both die,” read the post that threatened the Liberty star and the former Spanish player, who retired in retired in 2021 at the age of 30.
Breanna Stewart and Marta Xargay married in July 2021 and have two children.
