According to Matteo Moretto, Bernardo Silva, a key player for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, has no intention of renewing his contract with the club and will be a free agent next summer.

A story that has been talked about in recent weeks from England. In fact, Fabrizio Romano also hinted at his possible departure a few days ago on ‘DAZN Transfer’. And, as Moretto has stated, “there are no negotiations underway to renew his contract”

Bernardo Silva is in his ninth season at Manchester City, where he has played 445 games, scoring 42 goals and providing 34 assists. Guardiola’s all-rounder was also doing so this season despite being 31 years old. With the final stretch of the season still to come, Bernardo has played 2,782 minutes this term in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing five assists

Possible destinations

Bernardo Silva is undoubtedly one of the ‘sweethearts’ of the next summer transfer window. There are already clubs keeping an eye on his future. One of the names that has been strongly linked is Benfica, although Bernardo Silva has been associated in recent transfer windows, especially with FC Barcelona. The Saudi Pro League is also emerging as another of the main candidates to sign the Portuguese player.
