He is one the most talented singers and musicians in the United States and he is not only good with a guitar and a microphone. Tome DeLonge is a baseball fan and he roots for the San Diego Padres, as he is constantly attending his team’s games.
This time, it was even more special, as he was invited by the baseball organization to throw the ceremonial first pitch before the start of the playoffs. The friar were about to face the Atlanta Braves in the first game of the National League Wild Card Series.
More than 47,000 fans were in attendance as he was introduced in the jumbotron, and the crowd went crazy. The San Diego native gave it all he got as he threw the ball to home plate and the people were loving it.
Many reasons to cheer for
During the game, there was a pause due to a change of inning and the public address announcer put on of Blink-182’s songs to the happiness of the crowd. The fans started to sing ‘All The Small Things’ and it was a scene.
The band recently performed at Petco Park, after five years doing a private event, Blink -182 returned on the night June 30th and packed the baseball stadium with around 40,000 fans.
Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker revived a list of at least 25 songs that they played in front of the San Diego faithful, the same faithful that cheered on the San Diego Padres on Tuesday night.
