The Dodgers, who lost all six games against the Brewers during the regular season, are halfway to returning to the World Series in consecutive years. Statistics predict a celebration in Los Angeles as teams that have taken a 2-0 lead in a best-of-seven postseason series have won 78 of 93 times (83.9 percent)

The Los Angeles Dodgers left-right duo broke a century-old record as they went 2-0 up in the National League Championship Series against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Dodgers are in good hands when Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto are at their best. In the wild-card series, both made MLB history by each securing nine strikeouts and fewer than five hits in consecutive starts.
Now up 2-0 in the National League Championship Series against Milwaukee, Snell and Yamamoto managed to make history together again by breaking a 119-year-old record, according to Jayson Stark of The Athletic. During the first two games of the National League Championship Series, both held the Brewers to four combined hits.
The last pitcher to do so was Mordecai (Three Finger) Brown of the 1906 Chicago Cubs, who allowed just five hits. That year, Chicago won 116 games and lost the World Series to the White Sox. In Game 1, Snell was at the top of his game as he pitched eight innings, had 10 strikeouts and allowed one hit. On Monday, Yamamoto pitched a complete game in which he allowed three hits, struck out seven and allowed only one earned run.
Tyler Glasnow will start Game 3 against Brewers
The Dodgers have already set their rotation for when the National League Championship Series shifts back to Dodger Stadium. Tyler Glasnow will start Game 3 on Thursday, followed by Shohei Ohtani in Game 4 on Friday, manager Dave Roberts said. The reason behind this order in the rotation is that it would allow Glasnow to start a possible Game 7 on four days’ rest
Glasnow and Blake Snell (Games 1 and 5) are the only members of the postseason rotation to have worked on regular rest this season, while Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto (Games 2 and 6) have had at least five days of rest before each start. Dave Roberts also added that Ohtani could be available as a reliever in the final game of the Championship Series if the series goes the distance.
