Bivol’s victory changes boxing’s plans: Trilogy with Beterbiev, rematch against Canelo, fight with Benavidez?

Dmitry Bivol managed to get that ‘thorn’ out of his side this past weekend, another defeat against Artur Beterbiev would have left him in a bad position, but now his future is quite attractive

And the Russian boxer had many ‘girlfriends’, it seems that he ruined the plans of Turki to get his way and put him as a rival to David Benavidez to Beterbiev, but now there are many possibilities of what will happen, Bivol now has to rest and be on the sidelines of what they put on the table, because now he is the king of the light heavyweight division.

Bivol’s future is crazy

Turki Alalshikh seems to be pulling the strings to offer us more excitement in the boxing world. It is no surprise that he has in mind a third fight between Bivol and Beterbiev, considering what we have already seen between those two in October last year and what happened this past weekend

But what really stands out is the idea of Bivol jumping up to cruiserweight to take on Jai Opetaia, a clash that could be spectacular. And if that wasn’t enough, there is also talk of a possible clash with David Benavidez

Do Canelo and Beterbiev demand their rematches?

Artur Beterbiev refused to shake Bivol’s hand after his defeat, but made it clear that he was not going to do so for a reason, as he wants a third fight

On the other hand, Canelo has always insisted that he wants to get rid of that ‘stain’ of his defeat with the Russian boxer, after his fight with Crawford, he wants Bivol in the future and it could be an interesting fight for 2026, as his present year is already scheduled

For his part, Dmitry Bivol does not close the door to absolutely anyone, he does not want to avoid anyone, but whoever puts the best offer will take him

“I’m open to any fight. I want to recover and then move on. Trilogy, Benavidez, Canelo… As always, I’m just waiting for an offer and then I say yes,” was the warning from Bivol, the new undisputed light heavyweight champion
