Betrayal of the Dodgers? Freddie Freeman shows his love for the Blue Jays before the World Series

Freddie Freeman was the 2024 World Series Most Valuable Player (MVP), so he is highly valued by the Dodgers and is expected to continue wearing the jersey for a long time. However, as is the case in any sport, fans are jealous and difficult to please, so they may not be entirely comfortable with the statements the first baseman made about the next team to beat.

Freeman has hit safely in each of the 11 World Series games he has played in his career, posting a .310/.362/.810 slash line. But most impressive is his ability to produce in the most pressure-packed moments: he has homered in six of his last seven Fall Classic games and has driven in at least one run in seven consecutive games, a show of consistency.

Freddie Freeman recognizes Blue Jays’ work and remembers his roots

With the Dodgers-Blue Jays matchup set to begin at Rogers Centre this Friday, October 24, Freeman reflected on what this moment means for an entire country. “I mean, that’s special. When you have a whole country that you know is behind a team, that’s pretty amazing,” he said. Freddie Freeman’s deep Canadian roots have always shaped his identity

(…) to see the city come together (…) for the first time in over 30 years, it’s exciting

“And then obviously what they’ve done. They’ve invested in their team, in that stadium, in the visiting clubhouse, they’ve put a lot into the Toronto Blue Jays. So to see the city come together for having gone to the World Series for the first time in over 30 years, you know it’s an exciting time.”

Yesavage, the biggest challenge for Dodgers, according to Freeman

The 2025 MLB World Series is just around the corner and the Los Angeles Dodgers are gearing up to face Toronto. Dodgers’ veteran first baseman Freddie Freeman has pointed out that pitcher Trey Yesavage will be the biggest challenge for his team. With a fire-throwing arm, Yesavage has been a revelation in the league, and his ability to dominate hitters is well known.

Freeman, who has been a key piece in the Dodgers’ lineup, commented on the difficulty of facing a pitcher like Yesavage. “The only challenge is that we’re going to face Trey Yesavage, a guy that nobody on the Dodgers has faced before,” Freeman said in a recent interview. The lack of direct experience against Yesavage could be a determining factor in the Dodgers’ performance.
