Bernardo Silva wants to play for Barcelona

Bernardo Silva leaves Manchester City. The veteran attacking midfielder’s contract expires in June and he will not renew with Pep Guardiola’s side. The Portuguese has offers from different continents, but he has a clear future in mind: Barcelona.

According to A Bola, the priority of the Portuguese international, who joined City in 2017, is to play at Spotify Camp Nou, and he has told his agent, Jorge Mendes, with whom Joan Laporta and Deco have a great relationship. The manager has taken many players to the club, including Lamine Yamal, Balde, Casado and Cancelo. According to the Portuguese newspaper, Silva wants to play in La Liga and his ambition is to be part of the Blaugrana squad

Position covered at Barça

Barcelona does not consider his signing as a priority. Years ago, they tried to sign him with intensity, but today, he is not a player marked in red on the agenda of the sporting director, among other reasons because the coaches and executives believe that there are enough players in the midfield. Silva can also play on the right flank.

The veteran footballer, however, according to A Bola, is willing to wait for a possible offer from Barcelona before addressing the other proposals he does have on the table.
