Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny is preparing for one of the most high profile moments of his career as he gets ready to perform at the Super Bowl LX halftime show.

Ahead of the event, the 31 year old artist made an honest and humorous confession about sports. While he has always enjoyed watching them, he admitted that playing has never been his strength.

“Well, I’m not good at sports,” he said, explaining that although he grew up surrounded by baseball, basketball and boxing, his talents leaned elsewhere.

“I grew up watching sports [but] playing sports very bad.”

Despite that self assessment, Bad Bunny said sports have always been part of his life and culture. Growing up in Puerto Rico meant being immersed in athletic traditions, even if he was more comfortable as a spectator than a participant.

The artist also spoke about what fans can expect from his upcoming halftime performance. He encouraged viewers to let go of language barriers and simply enjoy the experience. He stressed that understanding Spanish is not required, saying the show is meant to be joyful, energetic and fun for everyone watching.

Celebrating culture on a global stage

Beyond the entertainment, Bad Bunny highlighted the deeper meaning behind appearing at the Super Bowl.

He described the performance as a moment of pride, not only for himself but for his family, his community and fans who share his cultural background.

He said bringing his roots, music and identity to such a massive audience feels especially meaningful.

For him, the halftime show represents more than personal success, serving as a celebration of Latin culture on one of the most watched stages in the world.

Having already broken barriers with Spanish language music on a global scale, Bad Bunny sees the Super Bowl as another opportunity to connect with people through movement, rhythm and emotion.

Even if sports were never his strong suit, Bad Bunny is ready to leave his mark where music and athletics collide.
