Artur Beterbiev is a boxer with a huge punch and he wants to prove it this Saturday when he faces Dmitry Bivol in Saudi Arabia. The fight sees the Russian as the big favorite to defend his World Boxing Council, World Boxing Organization and International Boxing Federation light-heavyweight championships,.
Being undefeated in boxing is something that many fighters value and care about, but to do it with all of his wins coming by way of knockout and at the elite level of boxing is difficult, but Beterbiev has done it in his more than 10 years as a professional boxer. He now has a record of 20-0 and in all his fights he has won by knockout.
The 39-year-old, 6-foot-2, Canadian naturalized Russian made his professional debut on June 8, 2013 against Christian Cruz in Montreal, Canada, where he scored the first knockout of his career in two rounds. There he began a successful career that led him to conquer the IBF world title in November 2017, against Enrico Koelling and with a knockout in the last round.
He added the WBC in October 2019 after beating Oleksandr Gvozdyk and the WBO in June 2022 against Joe Smith, titles that he defended together for the first time in January last year against Anthony Yarde.
