Saudi Arabia’s Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the country’s General Entertainment Authority, is adamant in negotiating with Saul “Canelo” Alvarez to accept a fight against Terence Crawford with a million-dollar table and an unprecedented event in the Arab country.
It was the sheikh himself who confirmed that he has made a multi-million dollar offer to the Mexican boxer. Although it should be noted that this has not been directly with Canelo, as Al-Sheikh does not have the contact of the Mexican boxer’s team, however, he insists that it could be the most legendary fight of recent years, as both Saul and Crawford are the best pound for pound.
What was Turki Al-Sheikh’s offer to Canelo Alvarez?
“I don’t know anyone now from Team Canelo, and I have no connection, but if he listens to me, we are ready to discuss (a fight with Crawford).
“We are ready to talk to Canelo Alvarez, but it must be directly. We do not want intermediaries who complicate negotiations,” said the sheikh, who has been behind the realization of multiple sporting and cultural events in Saudi Arabia.
