Antonio Brown makes derogatory comment about Angel Reese after seeing Sky star twerking, infuriating Chicago fans

Angel Reese has been one of the brightest stars to emerge in women’s basketball over the past two seasons, but with that visibility has come unwarranted criticism.

The Chicago Sky forward found herself at the center of social media chatter this weekend after a video of her dancing on a private jet went viral.

The lighthearted clip, showing Reese laughing and enjoying time with a friend, quickly made its way across X. Fans shared it widely, many praising her energy despite her current absence from the court due to a back injury.

But not everyone reacted with positivity. Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown reposted the video and added his own inflammatory caption, writing: “P*y probably trash.”**

Fans push back against Brown’s remarks

The response to Brown’s comment was immediate and fierce. Basketball fans and social media users called out the remark as offensive, disrespectful, and unnecessary. Many argued that Reese, who is just 22 years old, has been unfairly singled out since entering the league, with critics quick to target her confidence and outspoken personality.

“There’s no excuse to demean women like this, especially when she’s simply living her life,” one user wrote. Others tagged the WNBA and the Chicago Sky, urging both organizations to support Reese publicly in the wake of Brown’s post.

A pattern of online behavior

For Brown, this is far from an isolated incident. Since his NFL career ended, the former Pro Bowler has frequently grabbed headlines for erratic and often offensive online behavior. He has previously taken shots at women’s basketball players and made disparaging remarks that fueled debates about whether social platforms should hold him more accountable.

Brown, once one of the league’s most dynamic receivers, has not played since 2021. In recent years, his name has surfaced less for football and more for his controversial antics away from the field.

Reese’s rise and resilience

Reese, meanwhile, continues to establish herself as one of the most marketable athletes in women’s sports. Drafted seventh overall by the Sky in 2024, the former LSU star has brought new fans to the WNBA, celebrated for her fearless style of play and larger-than-life personality. Injuries have slowed her this season, but her impact on the league remains undeniable.

The Chicago forward has not publicly addressed Brown‘s post, but her track record suggests she is unlikely to be derailed by outside noise. Reese has embraced criticism before, often turning it into fuel to elevate her performance and maintain her connection with fans.
