In the aftermath of the Kansas City Chiefs‘ 20-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown took to social media to mock tight end Travis Kelce.

Brown‘s post, which referenced Kelce‘s recent engagement to pop superstar Taylor Swift, has sparked controversy and drawn attention to the Chiefs‘ early-season struggles.

During the game, Kelce displayed visible signs of frustration. After dropping a potential touchdown pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Kelce was seen slamming his helmet on the sidelines and reportedly shouting, “I’m sick of this s-!”

Head coach Andy Reid downplayed the incident, suggesting that Kelce was merely trying to motivate his teammates. However, the emotional outburst highlighted the mounting pressure on the team.

Brown’s social media critique

In the wake of the Chiefs‘ defeat, Antonio Brown took a moment to post an edited photo of the back of Kelce‘s jersey, with the words “Mrs. Swift” written above his number 87.

Brown‘s post has drawn criticism from fans and analysts alike, adding fuel to the ongoing debate about the Chiefs‘ early-season performance and Kelce‘s role on the team.

The Chiefs‘ loss to the Eagles marks their second consecutive defeat to start the season, following a 27-21 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil.

Analysts have pointed to various factors contributing to the team’s struggles, including injuries and a lack of offensive cohesion.

With key players like Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy sidelined, the team faces challenges in maintaining its high standards.

As the Chiefs prepare for their upcoming game against the New York Giants, the team will need to address its early-season issues.

The pressure is mounting for players like Kelce to perform at a high level and for the team to find its rhythm.

The upcoming games will be crucial in determining the trajectory of the Chiefs‘ season.

Record-breaking TV ratings for Eagles vs. Chiefs game

Despite the painful loss for the Chiefs, the Week 2 NFL matchup set a new benchmark for regular-season viewership. The game attracted an estimated 33.8 million viewers, making it the most-watched NFL game before November 1, according to Nielsen data.

This viewership milestone was achieved despite the absence of on-screen appearances by pop superstar Taylor Swift, who discreetly attended the game.

Swift, engaged to Chiefs‘ tight end Travis Kelce, attended the game at Arrowhead Stadium. Reports indicate that Swift entered the stadium late and avoided being photographed, maintaining a low profile throughout the event.

Although Swift largely remained out of the spotlight, her presence did not go unnoticed by fans and media alike.

Her involvement with the Chiefs, particularly her relationship with Kelce, has garnered substantial media attention, drawing in a broader audience, including many who may not typically follow NFL games.
