Antonio Brown blasts Deion Sanders’ kids following Shilo’s Bucs exit

Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders entered the NFL carrying the weight of high expectations and the legacy of their father, Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.

Both brothers faced a bumpy path as they transitioned from college standouts at the University of Colorado to professional football, and recent roster moves have only intensified the scrutiny surrounding them.

Shedeur, the younger quarterback of the family, was widely anticipated to be a first-round draft pick, but the Cleveland Browns selected him in the fifth round.

Shilo, a defensive back, went undrafted entirely and later signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The start of their professional careers has been far from straightforward.

For Shedeur, competition at quarterback was fierce. During training camp, he vied for the starting role against veteran Joe Flacco, a 40-year-old with years of NFL experience.

In mid-August, head coach Kevin Stefanski announced that Flacco would take the reins under center for the regular season, leaving Shedeur to continue developing behind the scenes.

Meanwhile, Shilo‘s pursuit of a roster spot with the Buccaneers ended abruptly. After a preseason incident in which he was ejected for throwing punches at Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson, Tampa Bay decided to waive the young defensive back.

The decision left Shilo without a team before the regular season began.

Antonio Brown weighs in on Sanders drama

Following Shilo‘s release, former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown did not hold back. On August 24, he took to X.com to express his thoughts on the situation, predicting a similar fate for Shedeur.

“Whole Sanders fam gonna end up getting cut out the league,” Brown tweeted, directly targeting both brothers.

Brown‘s commentary didn’t stop there. He added a second post, highlighting the broader context of the NFL and its pressures: “NFL not about to humble their dad.”

He concluded his string of tweets with a pointed remark referencing Deion Sanders‘ storied college career: “At least his pops will retire his Colorado jersey soon.”

The posts from Brown quickly attracted attention from NFL fans and analysts, sparking debate about the challenges facing the Sanders brothers. As of now, neither Shedeur, Shilo, nor Deion Sanders has publicly responded to Brown‘s comments.

The situation illustrates the stark realities of the NFL, even for players with legendary pedigrees. College success and family reputation do not always guarantee a smooth path at the professional level, as both Sanders brothers have learned in a matter of weeks.

Analysts note that Shedeur‘s development behind Flacco and Shilo‘s experience, even in a brief preseason, could serve as valuable lessons for their careers moving forward.
