Angel Reese has missed six consecutive Chicago Sky games due to a persistent back injury.
In fact, she was not present for the game against the Connecticut Sun, in which her team lost 71-62 on Wednesday at Mohegan Sun Arena. She also did not attend the match against Indiana Fever.
Although her return to the court is not confirmed and will depend on her daily progress, she decided to make a change.
The 23-year-old forward opted for a flowing style with her braided hair and shared it with her five million followers on Instagram.
Through her stories, the two-time All-Star posted two photos showing her new hairstyle in motion to the left. Updating her fans, Reese wrote on the first photo: “Oh & we got new hair. Good morning.”

Her absence from the team is being felt greatly. Her 14.2 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game that she averaged this season continue to be missed.
Of the eight games she has missed, the team has only managed one win and has a record of 8-24, placing them second to last in the WNBA standings, only above the Connecticut Sun (8-26).
The truth is that there is still no date set for her return. Coach Tyler Marsh has listed her as a player who will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis, but she has not actively participated in practices. “I’d leave that to the medical staff,” Marsh said. “For us, it’s just making sure that she’s as healthy as possible.” For now, all we can do is wait.
