Angel Reese is one of the most electrifying players in the WNBA and her impressive rookie year earned her the Chicago Sky’s 2024 Player of the Year award as well as the respect of her teammates and rivals in the league.
Currently, the 6-3 forward is enjoying her time as part of the Rose Basketball Club, a team that plays in the 3v3 league built in collaboration with the biggest stars in women’s basketball and co-founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.
On four games played, she’s averaging 11.5 minutes con 10.8 points, 8.3 rebounds (6 of them defensive), 2 assists and 0.8 steals. The team, however, is second to last on the standings with a 1-3 record, just above Mist Basketball Club. As they find their way to winning, Reese is having a blast in the new league.
Angel Reese sets the record straight
Rose Basketball Club is doing a great job on social media by posting fun and enjoyable videos and a recent one asked the players what kind of car they would be. Angel Reese took advantage of that to share who does she think she is and how she likes to be treated.
“I am a Rolls Royce, I’m very high maintenance, I upgraded from a G-Wagon, I was a G-Wagon in mi rookie year but I’m a big Rolls like Cullinan, like custom inside, custom outside, gotta take it to the shop, can’t drive her too much, big double R.” Reese said.
Rolls-Royce cars are known for their luxury, style, and craftsmanship. They are fully customizable and feature a wide range of safety and driver assistance features. Royce cars are made with refined materials, including A-grade leather, lambswool floormats, and crafted wood veneers.
Reese’s struggles with Rose Basketball Club
Angel Reese has struggled to make an impact with the Rose Basketball Club. She has had constant turnovers which further limits her effectiveness. The fouls has disrupted her rhythm and kept her off the floor during crucial moments.
Fans took to X to express their disappointment with Reese’s latest performances. Criticism ranged from harsh evaluations of her game to comparisons with NBA role players. “Angel Reese sucks at basketball & she hasn’t improved whatsoever. Post all the fake in-the-gym videos; your game on the court looks BAD,” a fan wrote.
“Angel is a good role player her fans just hype her up to be a superstar, which she’s not. She’s just like [Andre] Drummond; he made a couple of All-Star appearances too,” another added. A third said: “Brick Barbie”.
