Already eliminated from playoff contention for the second consecutive year, Angel Reese is preparing to bitterly close her second season in the WNBA and the Chicago Sky (9-30).

In a year where not only losses caused her headache, but where injuries have limited her, the star forward shines also off the court and announced a big news with her fans.

A very special sneakers

After announcing together with Reebok last September 18 their first joint work, a new member joins this family.

The two-time All-Star and fashion reference together with the sports brand, have presented the new color combination of its unprecedented basketball shoe.

The Reebok Angel Reese 1 “King Tiago Reese”, in beige and tan, are inspired by her dog and named in his honor. The shoes will be released to the public in November.

The 23-year-old forward took to her official X account to share this new milestone in her life: “TIAGOOOOOOO. My first bornnnn” she wrote. Seconds later, he received support from her fans:

“Wow! Bayou Barbie Strikes, again!!!” commented one user.

“You just keep outdoing yourself! We need a lookbook for all the colorways,” one wrote.

“Ok, yeah. You’re cooking with these colorways,” replied a third.

“speak for everyone when I say WE are BUYING,” said another follower.

The truth is that King Tiago joins the three debut colorways, ‘Diamond Dust’, ‘Mebounds’ and ‘Receipts Ready’, which aim to reflect Reese’s strong and exotic personality. The black and purple ‘Charm City’, delve deeper into Angel’s identity as they will be released in October homage to Baltimore, Maryland, her hometown.

This not only highlights the Sky star’s passion for fashion, but her ability to reflect her life and tell stories in the footwear she wears.

Meanwhile, Chicago prepares to host the Connecticut Sun at Wintrust Arena on Wednesday, September 3. They will then travel to Gainbridge Fieldhouse to face the Indiana Fever on Friday, September 5.

They will face the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday, September 7 and Tuesday, September 9 and will finish their schedule against the New York Liberty on Thursday, September 11 at home at Wintrust Arena.
