Angel Reese, the rising star of the Chicago Sky and one of the WNBA’s most talked-about figures, is known for her fierce game and unapologetic personality. But when it comes to her love life, Reese usually keeps things private-until now.
On the latest episode of her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, Reese sat down for an open conversation with rapper and songwriter Lady London, touching on topics ranging from careers to relationships.
During the chat, Reese admitted that although she has typically dated fellow athletes, she is curious about what dating in Hollywood might look like – and asked Lady London for her advice.
“What’s some advice that you would give me on dating in Hollywood, or dating in, like, the entertainment industry? I guess I don’t date entertainers,” Reese said candidly during their conversation.
Lady London offered a piece of timeless dating wisdom, saying: “In dating, I would say… um, damn! Pinpoint the worst thing about somebody and figure out whether you can live with it.”
Athletes, Fame, and Lessons from the Past
Reese has previously shared that she prefers dating athletes because they better understand the demands of her professional basketball career.
While she has mostly kept her current relationships out of the public eye, fans will remember her well-known relationship with fellow basketball player Cam’Ron Fletcher, which ended in March 2023 while Reese was still at LSU.
Dating athletes – and the misconceptions around them – was also a topic Reese explored when Shaquille O’Neal appeared on her podcast last October. Reese brought up the stereotype that athletes are difficult to date, to which Shaq firmly replied: “I hate when they put us in that category. Like not all athletes are crazy.”
When Reese pressed O’Neal on whether all athletes cheat, he offered a more layered response, saying: “I’m not going to answer that. I mean, you have to… Listen, y’all are… Y’all women are making rules up as we go along…”

Balancing Love and a Thriving Basketball Career
Despite the curiosity around her dating life, Angel Reese remains focused on basketball. After an impressive rookie season where she averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game, earning All-Star honors, Reese has become one of the key players for the Chicago Sky.
She’s currently competing in the Unrivaled 3-on-3 Basketball League, where she continues her double-double dominance with averages of 13.1 points and 12.1 rebounds. Her team, Rose BC, has already secured a spot in the playoffs and is eyeing a place in the finals this weekend.
Though she may be considering the idea of dating someone from Hollywood, for now, Reese seems fully committed to building her basketball legacy – while keeping an open mind about the future.
Whether it’s on the court or navigating her personal life, Angel Reese remains, as always, unapologetically herself.
