Angel Reese has a Valentine’s date and an unexpected detail aligned her plans

There are very simple ways to ask someone to be part of your Valentine’s Day, like saying it face to face, with a message, or even with a letter. But for Angel Reese, the invitation was different. This time there was nothing discreet or improvised, but a scene designed to surprise and make the moment impossible to ignore.

Her boyfriend, Wendell Carter Jr., was behind the gesture. The Orlando Magic center prepared a space covered in red roses and a large heart made of pink roses, along with a sign displaying the exact question: “Will you be my valentine?” Reese shared the video without appearing on camera, letting the scene itself reveal that she already had a date for February 14.

The moment becomes even more special because of the All-Star break, as Wendell Carter Jr.’s most recent game was on February 11 against the Milwaukee Bucks. His next commitment will not be until the 19th against the Sacramento Kings, which aligned the timing so the special day would be free.

It was also a good moment for Reese.

On Reese’s side, the Chicago Sky star also has the day off. Although commitments are already on the horizon and the start of the 2026 WNBA season is in May, her schedule for now allows moments that become almost impossible during the year. That is why the scene did not feel like a simple romantic detail, but like an instant anticipating a day they will be able to enjoy without rushing.

In the end, beyond the flowers and the question, what remained was the sense of two athletes finding time for each other in the middle of demanding schedules.
