New year, new Angel Reese? The Chicago Sky star stuns her fans be debuting a fresh look ahead of the 2025 WNBA season by chopping off her long hair and even changing its color.
Known for her incredible basketball talent, the 22-year-old is also known for her fashion sense and the value she places on how she looks; regularly frequenting socialite events such as red carpets and celebrity dinners.
And she’s once again mixed things up when it comes to her appearance by abandoning her iconic waist-length hair that she’s had since her LSU Tigers days to go for a shoulder-length cut instead.
Now just settling for a change in length either, the WNBA All-Star and Unrivaled league Defensive Player of the Year has also left her dark brown hair color in the past too, this time opting for light brown.
It’s a bold move and a bold statement from the 2023 NCAA National Champion ahead of the upcoming WNBA campaign as she prepares to push the Sky towards glory.
She debuted the new look via X.com, formerly known as Twitter, and earned an impressive 51,000 likes as fans weighed in on the latest appearance of the Bayou Barbie.
One user wrote, “Now I know the real reason why your momma named you an angel, -Cus you really are one of them baby girl!!”
A second added, “Angel, you are a very pretty young lady!”
And a third commented, “Wow no makeup just natural beauty every man,s dreams lady fr.”
Who do the Sky play first in 2025?
The Sky are looking to improve on a pretty miserable 2024 for the team, a season that saw them finish last in the Eastern Conference with a .325 record and 19 games behind the New York Liberty in a 40-game season.
On top of that, they also had the third-worst record in the entire WNBA and won just over 25% of their games at the Wintrust Arena before their devoted home crowd in Chicago.
With a new coach at the helm in the form of Tyler Marsh and the signings of Rebecca Allen and Ariel Atkins, they will look to start their season with a bang against the Indiana Fever on May 17, 2025.
