Angel Reese isn’t happy. The Chicago Sky star isn’t one to remain silent when she sees something she considers unfair. Her latest target is the organizers of the McDonald’s All-American Game for snubbing Kiyan Anthony.

The McDonald’s All-American is one of the most prestigious high school all-star games in the U.S. Each year, organizers invite the top 24 male and female prospects from across the country to a game to showcase their skills to recruiters and colleges.

Kiyan, meanwhile, is not only the son of Denver Nuggets icon Carmelo Anthony, but he’s also a top high school prospect. He recently committed to Syracuse University, following in his legendary father’s footsteps. Still, he wasn’t invited to the McDonald’s All-American, and Reese isn’t happy about it.

Angel blasts McDonald’s All-American

After being snubbed by McDonald’s, Kiyan participated in the Jordan Brand Classic, which was held this year in Washington, D.C. A video from SportsCenter Next shows young Anthony hitting a few three-pointers and sinking some dunks during the game, leading Team Air to a 141-124 victory over Team Flight and earning MVP honors.

SportsCenter captioned the video “Kiyan Anthony was fryin. Kiyan finished with 26 [points] in the W.” The Sky forward, for her part, used the post to criticize the All-American organizers, saying, “Should have been a McDonald’s All-American, but we move on.”

Fans agree with Reese

Chi-Barbie’s comment generated an immediate response from fans, with 2,427 likes and 28 replies. “LOUDER for the people in the back,” one enthusiastic user demanded, while another endorsed her by saying, “Know you’re always going to tell it like it is.”

Kiyan’s journey is just beginning, but with his talent and the support of stars like Angel Reese, there’s no doubt the young prospect is well on his way to earning his place in basketball history.
