Worthy discusses Andy Reid’s vision for the offense
If the Kansas City Chiefs want to return to the Super Bowl, they need to improve significantly. With training camp approaching, Xavier Worthy spoke with Kay Adams about the mentality Andy Reid is instilling in the team, offering clues about the offensive approach for the upcoming season.
“Coach Reid told us during OTAs and phase one that, when you come back, get your hamstrings ready,” the wide receiver said when asked about the depth of Mahomes‘ passes for the next campaign.
“We kind of knew that we were going to be going a little deep in practice, so we kind of got our bodies and got our minds ready to what we were doing in practice.”
Xavier Worthy won’t be alone. In fact, his teammates Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice will be ready after suffering injuries last season. Additionally, Patrick Mahomes will have Travis Kelce, who is expected to regain his top form.
