The media-friendly former tennis player Ana Ivanovic (37 years old) and the famous former soccer player Bastian Schweinsteiger (40 years old) have broken up after nine years of marriage.
The famous sports couple met in 2014 and married in Venice in 2019.
Ana Ivanovic, who won the 2008 French Open and retired in 2016, and Bastian Schweinsteiger, a Bayern Munich and German football legend, have three children.
After months of speculation, Christian Schertz, Ana Ivanovic’s representative, confirmed the separation due to “irreconcilable differences”.
The lawyer told ‘Bild’ that the couple does not intend to make any statements about their breakup and asked that “fans understand and let them have their own space”.

Ana Ivanovic, on the other hand, chose to spend more time in her native Serbia looking after her three children.
