Allegri, who in Italy is linked with Real Madrid, offers his view: “I’m happy at Milan and I have a contract until 2027”

Real Madrid’s bench is once again at the center of the debate. Two consecutive defeats in LaLiga have shaken the landscape: first they lost the lead and then Barcelona opened up a four-point gap. In this context, rumors are rife around the club, now led by Alvaro Arbeloa following the departures of Carlo Ancelotti in the spring of 2025 and Xabi Alonso last January.

A name from Italy appears strongly, Massimiliano Allegri. The current AC Milan coach is in Real Madrid’s orbit according to Corriere dello Sport, which places him among the alternatives being studied by the club for the bench. The other name that appears in the equation is that of German Jurgen Klopp, currently away from the bench and under contract with the multinational Red Bull.

Allegri, with 10 titles won between Milan and Juventus, is no stranger to the offices at the Bernabeu. According to the Italian newspaper, this would be the third approach between the two parties. It already happened in 2019 and also in 2021. On the second occasion, the conversations were quite advanced, although the agreement was never closed.

Meanwhile, the Italian coach remains focused on San Siro. “I’m happy at Milan and I also have a contract until 2027,” Allegri said, trying to put an end to the speculation coming from outside.

Happy in Italy

The coach insists that the Rossoneri project is still growing. “The club is working hard to keep improving the squad for next year.”

Milan are second in Serie A, ten points behind Inter, and the Lombardy club is pushing a rebuilding process to become an important player in Europe again, a field in which it has long been absent from the big powers. In this path, Allegri remains the central piece of the project.
