Tech entrepreneur and husband of tennis icon Serena Williams, Alexis Ohanian, has turned to ChatGPT to ask a simple but revealing question: “Who do you think I am?” The response was surprisingly accurate-and deeply personal.
“You’re family-oriented,” ChatGPT replied, “wife, Serena, and your daughters, especially Olympia, are central to your life. You prioritize experiences and traditions, like dinner at 6 PM with your family and fostering curiosity in Olympia.”
At 41, Ohanian has made it clear that his family is the heart of his world. He took 16 weeks of paternity leave when his first daughter, Olympia, was born-a move that made headlines and helped spark national conversations about paid family leave.
That time at home wasn’t just symbolic; it reshaped his routine, his weekends, and even his career outlook.
From pancakes to parenting podcasts
Fatherhood for Ohanian has translated into meaningful traditions and small daily joys, many of which are shared on his social media or discussed in his Business Dad podcast. One of his most beloved family rituals is the now-famous “papa pancake” tradition.
Inspired by his own father’s simple breakfasts, Ohanian began cooking up creative pancake recipes every Sunday with Olympia. With the arrival of baby Adira, the tradition has grown into a full family affair.
