In 2024, ATHLOS took the world by storm, making a massive impact in women’s track and field. The event, held at Icahn Stadium in New York City, set new records by offering an eye-popping $663,000 in prize money, the largest ever for a women’s-only track meet.

Attracting elite talent from around the globe, the competition drew in over 3 million viewers across multiple platforms, including X, YouTube, ESPN+, DAZN, and ESPN2.

The results? A massive success that proved there’s an untapped appetite for premier women’s athletics, with standout performances from athletes like 200m Olympic bronze medalist Brittany Brown, who earned $85,000 for her remarkable finishes.

ATHLOS Returns in 2025: Bigger, Better, and Full of Surprises

The buzz around ATHLOS 2025 began with a simple yet powerful announcement.

“The date is set. The city is set. ATHLOS NYC 10.10.25. See you there,” the Twitter post read.

The excitement quickly built as CITIUS MAG confirmed the event will once again light up Icahn Stadium on October 10, 2025. And fans are already wondering how ATHLOS plans to raise the bar after such a groundbreaking first year.

ATHLOS founder Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit, had hinted that last year’s event was just the beginning, and now he’s delivering on that promise.

“Hope to see y’all there! We had a hell of a time last year. This year will be even better,” he shared on Twitter. Ohanian‘s enthusiasm is infectious, as he reflected on the overwhelming response from fans, athletes, and the broader public.

“The moment I stepped into Icahn last year, it was immediately apparent that we had to do it again-somehow even bigger,” Ohanian stated in a recent release.

“The appetite, the atmosphere, the energy-it was obvious. I can’t wait for everyone to hear what surprises we have in store for 2025.”

For 2025, ATHLOS aims to top the 2024 experience. Set to be held just 19 days after the World Championships in Tokyo, the 2025 event is positioned perfectly for some of the fiercest competition of the season. With the world’s best athletes coming off the biggest stage of the year, ATHLOS 2025 is shaping up to be a can’t-miss spectacle.
