Former U.S. Women’s National Team star Alex Morgan had everyone talking at the 2025 ESPY Awards – and it wasn’t just because of the award she took home.
Morgan was honored with the ESPYs’ Icon Award on Wednesday night, recognizing her trailblazing soccer career, Olympic and World Cup victories, and lasting influence on the growth of women’s sports. She shared the honor with fellow legend Diana Taurasi, making it a milestone evening for two of the most influential athletes of their generation.
But as much as fans celebrated Morgan’s moving speech, the internet had its own favorite moment: the dress.

Morgan’s red carpet look – a shimmering silver-and-black gown by LaQuan Smith – lit up social media just as quickly as she once sprinted past defenders.
