Paige Spiranac is still coping with the heartbreaking loss of her cherished dog, Niko. The golf influencer, known for her openness with her fans, recently shared the devastating news of Niko’s passing on social media.

While she’s received an outpouring of love and support from followers, it’s clear that the loss of her furry best friend has deeply affected her.

Niko was much more than just a pet to Spiranac-he was a true companion. A rescue dog she adopted in 2017, Niko had been by her side through the years, and their bond was something she often shared with her followers.

“I loved you for your whole life, and I’ll miss you for the rest of mine,” Spiranac wrote on Twitter.

“I just wanted to thank everyone for the support I received yesterday, the kind wishes mean so much to me and my family. Niko was such a special pup.”

While the loss is still fresh, Spiranac’s devotion to animals remains unwavering. Here’s a look at her ongoing advocacy for pet safety and the efforts she’s made to protect animals, especially after becoming a dedicated ‘dog mom.’

Paige Spiranac’s advocacy for animal welfare

In 2017, Spiranac partnered with PETA to raise awareness about the dangers of hot weather for animals. As an animal lover and dog mom, Spiranac was passionate about spreading the message to help pet owners keep their furry companions safe during the scorching summer months.

Spiranac shared her concerns.

“If you’ve seen or read the news recently, you know that dogs are dying in the heat.” She reminded her followers.

“Remember, if you’re hot, they’re hotter.”

Understanding that pets can’t cool themselves as humans can, Spiranac urged people to keep dogs indoors when it’s hot outside and always ensure they have access to cool, clean water.

Spiranac’s message was simple but powerful: dogs, like all pets, need extra care in extreme heat. Her advice continues to resonate with her followers and serves as a reminder that protecting our furry friends is a responsibility we all share.

While Spiranac is still grieving Niko’s loss, her advocacy for animal welfare remains a key part of her mission. Through her work, she’s inspired others to protect their pets, showing that even in her time of personal loss, she continues to be an advocate for the well-being of animals everywhere.
