The University of Michigan has dedicated a video to Aday Mara to highlight his impressive start to the NCAA season.
“You know he’s a great player, with a very good touch to shoot and that alters all the shots to the rim,” says Dusty May, Michigan coach.
In his first two games with the Wolverines, he is averaging 15 points, 12.5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks in 28.5 minutes.

The Spaniard is only the second player to achieve more than 30 points, 25 rebounds, 10 blocks and 5 assists in his first two games of a season between the NBA and NCAA.

Michigan coach Juwan Howard has no doubts about Spanish player Aday Mara: “I’m going to give Aday credit. In the last few games, he had trouble defending on the perimeter. The opposing pivots got the better of us. Even in practice, he had trouble in that area. The coaching staff demanded it. I think he did an excellent job, without even watching the video, an excellent job defending the three-pointers. He blocked a couple of them. He defended the penetrations.”
“I didn’t think he could play that much. He’s capable of a lot. He’s just getting started. Obviously, his stats are impressive. He made a lot of invisible plays and changed a lot of shots,” he said of the Aragonese center.
