Aaron Rodgers reveals who can win the Super Bowl in 2025 and who can’t

Aaron Rodgers isn’t stressing over a rocky first throw of training camp – even if it did land in the hands of a defender.

After all, this is Rodgers we’re talking about. Four-time MVP. Super Bowl champ. Master of the long game – both literally and figuratively. And now, the newest leader of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

At his first press conference in black and gold, Rodgers didn’t just talk about getting comfortable in a new system. He took it a step further, placing the Steelers in elite company when asked about their chances this season.

“Most teams think they can win it all in July,” Rodgers said via ESPN.“But really, maybe 6 to 8 have a real shot. Sometimes it’s more – 10 to 12. I’d say we’re one of them.”

That’s not just veteran confidence – that’s a challenge to the rest of the league.

So Who Makes the Cut? Rodgers Thinks the List Is Short. Let’s See Who’s In

Rodgers’ remarks inspired a breakdown of which teams truly belong in that exclusive circle of contenders. According to DraftKings odds, we’ve got the familiar names:

  • Ravens (+600)
  • Bills (+600)
  • Eagles (+700)
  • Chiefs (+850)
  • Lions (+1100)
  • Commanders (+1800)
  • 49ers (+2000)
  • Packers (+2000)
  • Bengals (+2200)
  • Rams (+2200)
  • Steelers (+3500)

A few teams didn’t quite make the list. The Vikings (+2800) are banking on rookie J.J. McCarthy. The Chargers and Broncos have quarterback questions. The Texans? Exciting, but 1-5 last year against top-tier opponents.

The Steelers, on the other hand, won 10 games last year despite a revolving door at quarterback. With Rodgers running the show, this team could be far more dangerous than people realize.

Is Pittsburgh a lock for the Super Bowl? No. But Rodgers clearly sees something brewing in the Steel City – and that’s worth paying attention to.
