Aaron Judge is surely one of the most popular baseball players in all of MLB. He is recognized for his great power with the bat and also, playing with the New York Yankees makes any player a very well-known character wherever he goes.

However, for the Yankees player, it is not easy to lead a relatively normal life, especially if it is a matter of going for a coffee or a meal, as it is quite a problem for him to leave the team hotel and he is not even able to go for a coffee or walk quietly through the streets

Aaron Judge almost got ‘trapped’ in the hotel

Aaron Judge does not enjoy himself like the rest of his teammates when they have some free time and the team is on tour, as he prefers not to leave the New York Yankees concentration hotel.

Judge pointed out that leaving the Yankees hotel has become a problem for the right fielder because his height (6.5ft) gives him away and said it is difficult to try to get out when the team plays outside of New York.

LARESSE

A crowd surrounds Aaron Judge in Seattle

In fact, just three weeks ago he experienced the effect of the popularity of playing for the Yankees when his team traveled to Seattle for a game against the Mariners and trying to go to a Starbucks he soon realized that he was surrounded by just over 100 people while he waited for his coffee.

“I think if I was 6-foot-5, I could blend in a little bit. I put a Yankees cap on and we can go (anywhere). It’s the height. The first thing they think when they see me is a basketball player and then they ‘put two and two together’ and realize who I am,” Judge said.

Aaron Judge: “He’ll be able to go out on the streets when I retire”

The New York Yankees right fielder calmly assures that this life of walking around and strolling the streets at leisure will not be possible now: “That’s why I hardly ever leave the hotel. I try not to explore too much, I’ll be able to do it when I retire and get to know those cities, it’s part of life when you play for the Yankees, you’re going to be recognized wherever you are,” Judge concluded.
