Aaron Judge used as the face of an iconic baseball candy

In a season where Aaron Judge continues to make his mark both on and off the diamond, the New York Yankees captain has added a very special achievement to his career: he has become the official face of Big League Chew, the legendary chewing gum that has been linked to baseball for more than four decades. This collaboration marks a milestone, as Judge is the first active MLB player to feature on the product’s packaging.

Judge’s choice is no coincidence. The 33-year-old outfielder is in the midst of a stellar career, leading multiple offensive categories in Major League Baseball. To his already well-known records and awards, he now adds a symbolic but significant distinction that links his name with an iconic brand for generations of baseball fans.

What is Big League Chew’s new Aaron Judge-inspired flavor and where to buy it?

The new Big League Chew packaging will feature Judge’s face on its “Grand Slam Grape” flavor, a direct nod to his reputation as a feared and timely hitter. With nine career grand slams, the third most among active players, the choice of name not only highlights his batting prowess, but also his consistent impact on the game.

The product will be available in stores such as Costco and Dick’s Sporting Goods, and part of the proceeds will go to the player’s charity, All Rise, which is dedicated to fostering youth leadership. For Judge, this deal has personal value: as a child, he used to chew this very gum during games. Today, closing that loop and appearing on the wrapper represents, in his words, a “surreal moment.”

Aaron Judge 2025: statistics, superstitions and his chewing gum ritual in MLB

While he is becoming an icon off the field, Judge is also continuing to prove why he is one of the most dominant names in MLB. He currently leads the majors in hits, batting average, on-base percentage, slugging and OPS. In addition, with 30 home runs at the end of June, he remains firmly in the hunt for another Most Valuable Player title

Despite the fact that the Yankees have had a difficult month, the individual performance of their captain has not slowed down. This consistency keeps him as the offensive engine of the team and the visible face of its sports project in 2025.

Judge’s relationship with gum is not new. For years, he has had a superstitious routine that involves chewing gum during games: if he gets a hit, he keeps chewing it; if he hits again, he doesn’t change it. So, throughout a good night at the plate, he can end up with an almost tasteless rubber ball but loaded with superstition.
