Aaron Judge praises one of his New York Yankees teammates

The New York Yankees have experimented with the combination of players in their infield, which proved unexpectedly beneficial against the Oakland Athletics. The following statistics of a home run, triple, a walk and four RBIs do not belong to Aaron Judge.

This production sealed the 12-5 victory, where Aaron Judge, who in that same game hit two home runs after not getting hits in his seven at-bats in this series, praised his teammate.

It was Jazz Chisholm Jr. who had an outstanding performance against the Californians. For Judge, this game was marked by Chisholm’s exploits. “Great game by Jazz. Especially going to the decisive game which we had to win to take the series. We faced Severino, who we know very well and always throws hard at us,” said Judge, who highlighted the good relationship that has prevailed within the team.

Jazz Chisholm Jr disrespects Luis Severino

Former Yankees pitcher Luis Severino got through the first inning without allowing a run. However, Chisholm responded with a home run in the second inning that put the Yankees up 1-0. Finally, Severino’s day on the mound ended earlier than expected. “Jazz came out inspired. With one swing he gave us the lead and drove everything and even some of his defensive plays were really impressive,” Judge said. He also revealed that Chisholm’s ability to change the game on both sides of the field is why he calls him a “game-changing player”.

When asked if Chisholm Jr. was living up to the Yankees’ high expectations, Judge praised him. “That’s what the Yankees do. We look for players who are going to make an impact… If you put him in the middle of the lineup, good things are going to happen. He can hit a home run when we need it or bring some excitement with that bases-loaded triple. He’s a special player,” he added.

Aaron Judge remains optimistic about the team’s performance

In an outing where Judge himself hit two home runs and drove in four runs, he focused the attention on his teammate. But there was one occasion in the game when Chisholm gave the Yankees a little scare. The third baseman appeared to injure his right hand while checking his swing. This forced him to drop the bat and stop for a while.

The Yankees have already had quite a few injuries this season. They could not afford another one, especially considering that Chisholm has just returned from an oblique injury. The team has relied on him since his return on June 3. Returning in the seventh inning, Chisholm appeared to be smiling, indicating that the blow he had suffered a while ago was not serious. He continued strongly and performed exceptionally well, and the Yankees achieved a 12-5 victory.
