Aaron Judge motivates Yankees fans ahead of Game 4 of the playoffs against Blue Jays

The Yankees will play Game 4 of the MLB Division Series against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday, October 8. This matchup exists thanks to Aaron Boone’s side’s victory at home yesterday, forcing the series between the two to be extended by at least one more game. The Pinstripes arrive in the Bronx as favorites – according to sports betting houses – however, their rival is powerful, so Aaron Judge motivates the fans.

New York was on the brink of elimination heading into Game 3 of the Division Series, but it was none other than Aaron Judge who saved the day. In the bottom of the fourth inning, he hit a home run that tied the score at 6. That homer was Judge’s 11th hit of the playoffs, which is the most by a Yankee in the team’s first six postseason games since Hideki Matsui and Alex Rodriguez each had 11 in 2004.

The Yankees will need another great performance from Aaron Judge

After the game, Judge shared a hopeful message that the Yankees can come back and do the same to keep their season alive. “Tonight was special, but there’s still more work to be done. Hopefully, we’ll have more great moments like this the rest of the postseason. Maybe we can do something special tomorrow night and talk to all of you once again before heading back north,” he said.

(…) we’ll have more great moments like this…

The Yankees completely defied the odds in Game 3 against the favored Toronto Blue Jays, as they became the first team in MLB postseason history to be down by more than five runs and in danger of being swept and come back to win the game. Before them, teams were 0-38 in that situation.

“I know we were a little down early, but the energy in that dugout and what we were bringing was that we knew we were going to go out there and leave it all on the field,” Judge said. “We knew we were going to try to get back there. And to have the opportunity to tie it up like that, I liked our chances, especially with our bullpen and our guys there and the way our offense has been rolling,” he emphasized.

Yankees want Munetaka Murakami for MLB 2026

Although the focus is now on staying alive in the playoffs, the Yankees are already thinking about next season in Major League Baseball and the name they have etched on their foreheads is Munetaka Murakami. This 25-year-old Japanese player has proven to be a true phenomenon in the NPB, with batting power that has left more than one person speechless

With 22 home runs in just 56 games, Murakami has caught the attention of several MLB teams, but it is the Yankees who seem to be most interested in his services. The nickname ‘Japanese Aaron Judge’ is no exaggeration. Murakami not only has the ability to hit the ball out of the park with ease, but also boasts a 1.043 OPS, making him a constant threat to opposing pitchers

His ability to connect the ball with power and precision is something the Yankees could take full advantage of, especially in a stadium like Yankee Stadium, which is known to favor left-handed hitters. The Yankees’ interest is no coincidence. With the need to shore up their lineup and find a new idol for their fans, Murakami could be the missing piece of the puzzle.
