The reigning American League MVP returned as the designated hitter and went 0-for-3 at the plate, striking out twice in his comeback appearance.

Without Aaron Judge, the Yankees went 4-6, including being swept by the Miami Marlins last weekend, while posting an anemic offense with a .231/.311/.399 slash line.
The New York Yankees will face the Rangers again, aiming to avoid a second consecutive sweep, knowing they are now six games behind the division leader and their postseason berth is in jeopardy.
