Aaron Judge‘s 2024 season with the New York Yankees was very nearly a legendary campaign. The towering outfielder and club captain won his second AL MVP award in three years on the strength of his MLB-best 58 home runs and 144 RBI while leading the Yankees to their first World Series appearance since 2009.
However, Judge fizzled out in the MLB postseason, hitting only .184 with three homers as the Yankees’ championship drought continued. After New York‘s 4-1 series loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Fall Classic, it was time for Judge to relax and reflect — and start anew in February, when the Yankees reconvene for spring training…albeit without slugger Juan Soto.
Judge and Samantha Bracksieck are expecting their first child!
Judge has socked 316 home runs in his nine-year career, but his biggest hit is yet to come: fatherhood. The New York Post reported Thursday night that Judge and his wife, Samantha Bracksieck, are expecting a baby girl in 2025.
The 32-year-old Judge and the 31-year-old Bracksieck met as high school students in California before attending Fresno State University together. They married quietly in 2021 — about one year before Judge signed a mammoth new contract with the Yankees, a nine-year, $360 million pact that should take the 6’7” slugger to the end of his MLB career.
Judge will have plenty to celebrate in 2025 even without Soto hitting ahead of him in the Yankees’ lineup — and even without a World Series ring to this point in his career. The couple is known for being intensely private about their marriage, but one thing seems for sure: their daughter will be raised as a fan of the Bronx Bombers, one more fan cheering on the Yanks from birth.
