Aaron Boone receives backing to stay with Yankees: “It doesn’t matter who you put in”

The New York Yankees have won the World Series 27 times, but things are different these days. Even with a great regular season, the Bronx Bombers fell short during the playoffs and were eventually eliminated by Toronto. However, it looks like manager Aaron Boone will remain in charge of the team.

The Blue Jays eliminated the Yankees last week in four games with a 5-2 victory at Yankee Stadium, finally knocking out the giant that has seemed their “big brother” in the American League East for nearly a decade. The Canadian team is currently fighting for the American League Championship Series against the Seattle Mariners, with whom they are tied 2-2.

Brian Cashman praises Aaron Boone

During a series of statements, New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman spoke about Aaron Boone’s position as manager of the New York Yankees amid growing scrutiny, offering insight into the organization’s mindset heading into next season. The loss to Toronto was certainly not an easy thing to take in, so the front office will have to plan new strategies.

He’s one of the best managers (…) he would get a job pretty quickly

The New York Yankees entered another offseason full of questions, with fans and media alike wondering if the organization will make changes after another year before championship glory. However, amid the noise, general manager Brian Cashman remains steadfast in his support of manager Aaron Boone, whose leadership continues to polarize the fan base.

Speaking to SNY, Cashman offered a strong public defense of his manager, saying: “I think he’s a good manager. He’s one of the best coaches. If he was out there right now, he’d get a job pretty quickly. Because of our environment, he’s someone who can be questioned 10 million times. I don’t care who you put in that, it would be the same with anyone else who’s there.”

Aaron Judge’s right elbow strain will not require surgery

The good news keeps coming this week for New York. It should be remembered that last Thursday, the Yankees disclosed news about their biggest figure: the stellar outfielder Aaron Judge will not need to undergo surgery in the offseason for a sprain in his right elbow, according to manager Aaron Boone during a press conference in front of the media.

The foreman added that a recent MRI scan revealed progress in his recovery. “He will take some time to rest,” Boone said, “he will continue his strength and rehabilitation work.” The Bombers captain, who went on the disabled list in July due to a strain in a tendon in his right elbow, returned in early August, but was limited to a designated hitter role.
