Aaron Boone has a plan for Aaron Judge, but it can lead to some serious problems for the New York Yankees

The New York Yankees know they can’t take risks with Aaron Judge. They cannot afford to lose their best player, who anchors Aaron Boone‘s team, in the final stretch where they’re fighting for a postseason berth or, at the very least, the American League East lead, which remains within reach for the Bronx Bombers.

The New York superstar has been limited to the role of designated hitter throughout August, but they might soon take a chance and return him to his usual position.

Aaron Boone reveals Aaron Judge’s position change

That’s what the team’s manager said before the start of the first game in the series the Yankees will play against the Houston Astros. Boone sounded very optimistic, though he didn’t provide specific details about the possibility of seeing Judge back in the field this season. Gary

Phillips of the New York Daily shared this information.

“We absolutely feel like he’s gonna be back out there,” Aaron Boone said. “I know I keep saying it’s soon, and I wholeheartedly feel that way right now sitting here. I just don’t know that day yet. That day is probably just gonna [pop up] out of the blue a bit.”

Aaron Judge suffered an elbow injury in late July after making a throw from the outfield, and Aaron Boone’s narrative has shifted multiple times since then. The star has followed a throwing program, but no final decision has been made about seeing him back in the field.

The big dilemma is whether they’re willing to risk him and potentially lose him later when the postseason is underway. Additionally, this issue already caused a misunderstanding between Judge and his manager after the latter commented that the player would not return to the outfield.

Judge, in response, expressed confusion, emphasizing that he felt good about his recovery and didn’t understand why his manager made those comments. It seems Boone has since changed his stance.

One of the major dilemmas was whether they would dare to put Giancarlo Stanton in the outfield, but keeping both heavy hitters in the lineup has paid off, as Stanton has exploded with the bat.

Perhaps it was one of the best decisions Aaron Boone has made, despite remaining a target of criticism, in a critical final stretch where it will be determined whether the Yankees make the MLB playoffs or not.
