New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone had no hesitation in praising Giancarlo Stanton, the New York outfielder who has had a Hall of Fame career, according to the coach. The Bronx Bombers are second in the American League East, behind only the Toronto Blue Jays.

Boone not only spoke of Stanton’s accomplishments on the field, but also of his impact in the locker room. “We all respect him so much. Just for who he is, for his unique way of doing things. He’s an incredible person, an incredible teammate,” the manager said. These words reflect the appreciation and admiration that Stanton has cultivated among his teammates.

Aaron Boone backtracks on Stanton: “He has a lot of work to do”

After filling him with praise, current Yankees manager Aaron Boone put the brakes on the Yankees outfielder’s career. He said Giancarlo Stanton has had a “Hall of Fame career,” yes, but added: “I feel like he has a lot left to do, a lot more to go”.

Stanton’s power at the plate is undeniable. He recently joined an exclusive club of players with a certain number of home runs in his MLB career. During the series against one of the American League East teams, Stanton went over the wall to reach this milestone, further cementing his legacy as one of the most feared sluggers in the league.

Giancarlo Stanton hit his 450th home run during a game against the Baltimore Orioles

Giancarlo Stanton hopes his 450th home run is not the last milestone he celebrates before his career is over. “It’s a round number,” the New York Yankees slugger said Saturday night after hitting a three-run homer in a 6-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles. “It’s great to see the names I’m catching, tying and surpassing.”

Stanton hit his 450th home run in his 1,719th game. Only Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire, Alex Rodriguez and Harmon Killebrew got to 450 faster. If the 35-year-old continues his home run streak, he may reach 500 and be recognized with a plaque in Cooperstown.
