Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce enjoyed a cozy, PDA-filled evening at one of Palm Beach’s most upscale restaurants. Pamela Goodman, a 69-year-old Swiftie and longtime member of several Taylor Swift fan groups on Facebook, was dining with a friend at Buccan, a James Beard-nominated hotspot, when she realized the celebrity couple had just been seated right beside her in the restaurant’s intimate back corner.
“They were a giggly couple on a date. They were just adorable!” Goodman told Page Six. “Trust me, this is true love. This is not fake. They’re real. They’re adorable.”
A meaningful exchange
According to Goodman, who only realized who was beside her after catching a glimpse from the corner of her eye, the duo were affectionate and relaxed throughout the night.
She observed them sipping cocktails, sharing a menu, exchanging playful kisses, and laughing frequently.
“They’re friendly and they’re just everything that those of us who are Swifties really believe they are,” she added. “I saw it up close and personal.”
Buccan’s owner checked in with Goodman and her guest to ensure they were comfortable with the famous pair sitting nearby, which they certainly were. As the dinner came to an end, Goodman couldn’t resist the opportunity to offer a few heartfelt words to the 14-time Grammy winner.
“I stood up and said, ‘Excuse me, I don’t mean to interrupt, but I’m probably one of your oldest and biggest Swifties on the planet,'” Goodman recalled. “She laughed. I said, ‘I just had to stop and congratulate you on the re-ownership of your masters. I’m so, so happy for you. Congratulations.'”
Swift warmly responded: “I noticed you! You are so beautiful. Thank you so much!” before shaking Goodman’s hand.
The moment came just days after Swift publicly announced that she had successfully bought back the rights to her original master recordings from Shamrock Capital.
The deal reportedly involved a nine-figure sum and marked the end of a six-year battle to reclaim the rights to her first six studio albums, initially sold by her former label Big Machine to Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings in 2019.
Goodman also took a moment to address Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champion, revealing her Kansas City roots and love for the Chiefs. She wished him well for the coming NFL season, which kicks off in September.
“He put out his hand immediately and said, ‘Thank you so much,'” she said, noting that he was just as gracious and warm as Swift.
