Luka Doncic steamrolled the Denver Nuggets with a triple-double of 38 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists on an NBA night also marked by the 43 points scored by Keyonte George against the Minnesota Timberwolves and by the Houston Rockets’ victory in the Texas derby against the San Antonio Spurs.

Keyonte George (22 years old and 1.93 m.) crushes the Wolves with 43 points

Keyonte George, who was selected by the Jazz with the number 16 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft after playing one season at Baylor (NCAA), stunned the Wolves with 43 points.

In his third season in the NBA, he has raised his averages to 24 points, 4 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game.

Last season, Keyonte George averaged 16.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists.

The Jazz returned to winning ways after four straight losses and put the Wolves in trouble, who fell for the third game in a row.

Anthony Edwards, who was coming off a 55-point performance in his team’s last loss to the Spurs, scored 38 against the Jazz, but could not prevent the setback.

The Jazz are third from bottom in the West, ahead of the Sacramento Kings, who fell to the Miami Heat (130-117), boosted by 25 points from Bam Adebayo and 22 from Norman Powell.

Warriors crash without injured Butler

Without Jimmy Butler until next season due to the serious cruciate ligament injury suffered on Monday, the Warriors fell at the Chase Center in San Francisco to the Toronto Raptors (145-127).

Immanuel Quickley led the Canadians with 40 points and Scottie Barnes added 26 on a night when Darko Rajakovic’s team shot 59% from the field and 61% from beyond the arc (21 of 34).

Steph Curry did not get past 16 points for Golden State. In the midst of the storm over his possible departure from the team, Jonathan Kuminga scored 20 points off the bench, and Buddy Hield added 25 with a perfect six-for-six from the arc.

Bulls feast

At the United Center in Chicago, the Bulls rolled to a 138-110 victory over the Clippers without Kawhi Leonard, with seven players scoring in double figures, led by Coby White’s 27 points.

Matas Buzelis scored 21 points and Nikola Vucevic added 18 for the Bulls, while James Harden scored 23 for the Clippers.

With three wins in their last four games and a 21-22 record, the Bulls are fighting for a direct playoff spot in the East.

At this moment, the sixth place, the last one that gives direct access to the playoffs, is shared by the Orlando Magic and the Philadelphia 76ers, who lost at home on Tuesday against the Phoenix Suns (116-110).

The Sixers, without Joel Embiid or Paul George, succumbed to Devin Booker’s 27 points. For Philadelphia, VJ Edgecombe scored 25 points.
