This past Monday, February 16, 2026, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill had a difficult start to the week. The franchise he had spent several seasons with informed him that he was no longer part of its plans.
Hill continues recovering from multiple torn ligaments in his knee, an injury he suffered in Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season. Now that he is no longer with the Florida team, several franchises have reportedly shown interest in his services.
For the receiver, whose physical condition will remain a question until his recovery is complete, some teams would truly like to have him on their rosters. Among them, three stand out in particular:
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Atlanta Falcons
- Buffalo Bills
Now a new option has emerged that could provide significant support: the New England Patriots. That idea was put forward by Robert Griffin III, who mentioned the possibility for the most recent Super Bowl LX runners-up.
Robert Griffin III calls for Tyreek Hill to join the Patriots
The former Washington Commanders quarterback suggested that the receiver could arrive in New England and form a strong connection with Drake Maye, especially on deep passes.
The New England Patriots need to sign Tyreek Hill. Drake Maye was the best deep ball thrower in football this year. If Tyreek Hill gets back to 90% of what he was, the Patriots get a massive mismatch chess piece on their board.
Such a pairing would give the Patriots another realistic path to becoming serious Super Bowl contenders. Hill is a veteran who consistently posts strong numbers each season, while Drake continues his upward trajectory in the league.
Tyreek Hill’s career numbers
Tyreek Hill began his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016 and won a Super Bowl ring with them before heading to sunny Florida. Unfortunately, his tenure there did not produce the same results before his departure.
