2K25 predicts the teams that will be in the NBA Finals and the result will not please Knicks fans

The world of sports is currently upside down as some of the most important competitions on the planet are coming to the end of their seasons. In the world of soccer, we are seeing this clearly, as in some of the most important leagues in the world, there is one or two matchdays left before we say goodbye to the season, as is the case in La Liga or Serie A. But world basketball has entered the most important moment of the year, as yesterday saw the end of the NBA conference finals, the most important basketball league on the planet, which now has all the attention of fans.

As we said, yesterday the NBA Western Conference Finals were definitively closed with the seventh game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Denver Nuggets, which was a seventh game in name only, as Shai and his team totally outplayed Jokic’s team. The Nuggets, with the accumulated fatigue of the seven games against the Clippers and the six against Oklahoma, arrived ‘exhausted’ at this point of the season. This, combined with the physical and defensive pace of the Thunder, left us with a more than 30-point thrashing that decided the game before the final quarter began.

Thus, Shai and his team reached the Western Conference Finals, where the Minnesota Timberwolves were already waiting for them, having defeated the Warriors 4-1 to reach their second consecutive conference final. On the other side, everything happened faster, as Indiana defeated Cleveland 4-1 and the Knicks surprised the defending champions, a Boston Celtics team that was very depleted by injuries. Now, we want to see which teams will advance to the NBA Finals, and for that we have turned to an old friend, NBA 2K25, where we simulated these series to find out who will be in the finals.

Anthony Edwards would dominate the West

Before we begin, remember that this is simply an exercise in curiosity and fiction that means nothing more than imagining how the series might play out. So, let’s start with the Western Conference where we would see the first big surprise, as Oklahoma, who are arguably the heavy favorites to win the NBA, would fall by a resounding 4-1 to a Minnesota Timberwolves team that would have an incredible season.

And this, if it really happened, would not be understood without an exhibition by the Minnesota star, Anthony Edwards, who, according to NBA 2K25, would be the Western Conference Finals MVP, averaging in these five games no less than 30.6 points, 5 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.4 blocks and an incredible 45.5% in three-pointers.

The Knicks would miss out on their long-awaited final

With the Minnesota Timberwolves already in the final, we go to the Eastern Conference, where we would also see a big surprise, not only because of this series, but also because of the season in general. We say this because, according to NBA 2K25, the Indiana Pacers would win the conference finals by a convincing 4-1 against a Knicks team that has starred, in real life, in the madness of these playoffs in the streets of New York.

And just like in the case of the Minnesota Timberwolves, this feat would not be understood without a great performance by its star, Tyrese Haliburton, who after being named in the player surveys as the ‘most overrated player in the NBA’ just before these playoffs, would achieve in this simulation the Eastern Conference Finals MVP averaging 20.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 11.2 assists, 1 steal and 1.2 blocks. Thus, we see how NBA 2K 25 is clear, the NBA Finals 2025 will be played by Anthony Edwards’ Minnesota Timberwolves and Haliburton’s Indiana Pacers.
